It was a winding down day on Nov 26th with my new closest friends. It's very true about discovering who your real friends are when you leave high school. Though I'm going to avoid the sentimental side of the day.
So we went down to darling harbour for pancakes. THEY ROCKED UP LATE!!! not cool considering I was starving and I had invited Agatha and she had to dash at 1 for her second lunch. Love her, thats what I usually do, so we didn't have to go through judging each other for eating a little too many meals in a day. It's rather surprising how many meals we can fit in considering the little hours we are awake for.
Pancakes was awesome, I once again failed to take pics. Does no one else feel awkward pointing a camera at their food in a public place??? It could just be me, but i promise the next I go out for food I'll take piccies shamelessly. Hmmm it seems so long ago. What did we order?? I recall a mexicana savoury one, mushroom and cheese?? or it could be chicken crepe. That one was great, oh the flavours were like a symphony in your mouth. There was one more savoury but mooooving on to the sweet ones, we had blueberry pancakes, macadamia and syrup arghhh why can't I ever remember the third one?? oh yeh there was also a pizza, quite good, but not as good as GPK. Maybe because it lacked the crisp factor but topping was pretty good. Could do with more though.
Ordering a Manhattan so early in the arvo wasn't the best idea. It was a hot day and as you know I've been having some crazy ass problems with my skin and heat, so the reddening cheeks made me look like a drag queen, not that I have anything against them.
Tried to chillout by shopping with the boys. Yes you read right...the boys were the ones dragging us around. ahahah Fun though cos Andrew and Benny listen to my fashion advice. They're like my ken dolls that I never really had or would've ever bothered to dress up. Andrew ending getting a pair of awesome jeans that yes I picked from tarocash...i love that place....for my bro of course. No, I don't wear guys' clothes.
We also went to AMF pin bowling for pool/snooker whatever fancies. Nice place, the mood lights and funky dance vids really tempted my inner dancing animalleee to come out and play when the sun was still up. I restrained quite well by breaking. Yes all the boys tried and failed. Why do they always talk so big when they obviously know they've lost it (or never really had it) ahah Andrew made a couple of air swings at the balls too, but in the end I think he won. Tracey had some crazy beginners luck going on for her for while. Quickly dissipated though. Good try Trace. Had to order a Bourbon and Coke for Benny, he's quite alcohol admirer there. I'm sure Trace wasn't impressed with me encouraging it.
We then strolled oh so carelessly to the park. I've got snaps of it!! I'm so proud, i think they were the only snaps
My bad, i have some of the boys at it for pool.
Andrew looking a little too happy
Awww doesn't Benny and tracey look cute when they share a game of pool??
Yay onto the park piccies...
Tracey and Benny with Andrew being a childish gay ass in the background
And another
The boys disappointed cos the concreted in the slide and the used-to-be-cubby house
The closest i could to keeping my eyes open
Oh anyone notice my haircut?? The wind screws it up. But in the morning it was fine, for the first time in 3 days after my hair cut, it was finally listening to my almost-Edward-Scissorhands hands. Used so much leave in hair conditioner and mousse to get it looking sweet and all but not so successful after being at darling harbour. Crazy ass cutesy fringe, that not what I asked for LADY!! ok no more hating on the hairdresser
Anyways, round 4ish yeh i really have no idea what the time was then just trying to sound like an organised blogger thats all. Anyways, Justin came and joined us later but he's such a party pooper. He wouldn't join us on this weird springy balance thing. Andrew and Benny were too heavy so Tracey and I just kept sliding off.
We then walked to Market City, stuff happened in the middle that seems to have slipped away. The boys played initial D at galaxy world. Psssh boys!! And Andrew got me a pig from one of those toy grabby things.
Off to Capitol after that. I think Andrew's luck started running on a low, he took so many tries to win Shirin a tofu. No luck.
Benny then escorted Justin off to the train station which took freaking 45 mins!!!...It kind of gets boring when you're waiting for someone. Then off we went again to discover a restaurant for dinner. We wanted to eat at Chat thai but it was backed and unless we waited unless 2 am we'd never get close to the door. Massive queue only made me want to go there more. So we ran around the block looking for a thai restaurant that wasn't too spicy for Tracey. We ended up going to Thainatown something-something. It looked a lot like those pho restaurants, with the smaller tables, where you could see the chefs cooking through a rectangular hole through the wall and the waiters didn't wear uniforms. It felt homely though.
We weren't too hungry so we shared, curry, nad naan, pad thai and another dish with those thick rice noodles with beef and bok choi. The curry was superb but I got really thirsty afterwards. Pad thai was also a winner, but the beef was too chewy for my weak little, crooked teeth.
Walked around Townhall, blah blah you don't care and landed ourselves at passionflower and all scabbed off Andrew's cookies and cream. I just took all the cookie at the bottom and mutated his ice cream..ahaha. But that's all for now folks
